FLARIDA!!!

Yes Flarida! Our recent trip to, as Bin puts it "The Most Southern Yankee State", was wonderful. It was so great to see family. Bin was like a kid with his brothers, it was so cute but also made me feel bad that we live so far away. It was great to see is sisters and the babies and the parents and the aunts and uncles and Grandparents. We had the privelege to go to Epcot (my first time) Magic Kingdom and Blizzard Beach. It was Bin's dad's first time in 30 years back.. He was kicked out and had his face plastered in security of Magic Kingdom for a while due to his non Disney actions (SHAKING MY HEAD AT ROY!!) It was so great to see the kid's faces light up when they got to meet Minnie and Mickey and the Disney Princesses. It was also so great that we got RAINED on for most of our visit. It was also a great time to get to know each other on a non stressful and fun level. Disney is the happiest place after all.

And Sunday we spent the day with Roy's mom and his siblings. What a day! We attended church across the street from the BEAUTIFUL Orlando temple with Sarah and Dan and then drove to the coast to spend the afternoon with the rest of the Tolman siblings. I LOVE them all!

All and all it was great to be with Bin's family and I definately think our relationship is going the way it should..... FINALLY

Brand Loyalty

Today we are going to discuss the importance of Brand Loyalty :)

In school we are taught OFTEN about the importance of building your brand and making sure you have loyal fan of your brand. Well over the past few weeks that topic has been in the front of my mind.
Don't laugh, it is VERY important! And sometimes it is best to say loyal to your regular brands.

We went to Florida for a few days a week agoish. In our trip this lesson of brand loyalty was confirmed, yes I learn while doing hands on things. Here is what happened...

Brand Loyalty Case Study 1:
So when we go to Florida, we tend to rent cars from Enterprise, I LOVE their logo and I love the discount that we receive by using a code that a high school friend of mine gave us. We have gone a few times and are very happy with the service and the price and the car, the even give us free upgrades occasionally (Orlando is their biggest location so they have a TON of cars, so always ask for the upgrade, but only at the non airport location FYI). The boys run all over the place to help us and are super friendly I HEART ENTERPRISE!!
WELL BIN (not me AT ALL) decided that it was "dishonest" using a code that wasn't ours, so he insisted on using one from his job. Okay I can deal with that, as long as it's my love Enterprise or my mistress Hertz (also stellar service providers). Well the best deal he found was with Alamo. RED FLAG NEW BRAND!! Well the deal was AWESOME! $240 for a mid size for 6 days which included insurance and tax! I was willing to give the new brand a try. Well when we got there we tried to enter in our code at the kiosk and what do you know our reservation got cancelled some how. REALLY long story short, after talking to several people we were "SO LUCKY" to be able to reserve a COMPACT, for are you ready $465 NOT including TAXES!!! JERKS!!! SO I will never go outside of my loyalties to Enterprise and Hertz AGAIN

Case Study 2:
I LOVE SOUTHWEST!! Not just because my wonderful brother in law is employed by them, but because their seats are so comfy! No that's not the ONLY reason, the flight crew is so fun and almost always love their job, FREE luggage check in, and SNACKS!!! WELL this time we didn't fly on Southwest (again NOT my doing!) We flew with US Airways or whatever. So we go to check in the line was INTENSE!! There was a poor Indian man and his mother who were waiting in lines for 2 hours!! The check in people were so unhelpful to him AND to everyone else! Obviously understaffed (some guy left without his boarding pass OOPS) and obviously CRANKY! It cost us $50 to check in our bag, $100 on the way back! NO snacks were given and when I questioned the flight crew they got SNIPPY!! AND the way back NO snacks were even offered!! WHAT THE HECK it's a LONG flight to not have munchies :(

I'm sure both companies are okay, and None of my loyalties are sponsored, although they probably should dang it!

AND finally the BEST BRAND AWARD is given to DISNEY!!! Every one knows the amazing mouse ears, they are like the golden arches of McDonald's. My baby nieces and nephews KNEW what Cinderella's castle was and my little 4 year old one Gabby was VERY serious when she informed me of Cinderella AND Minnie Mouse. EXCELLENT JOB WALT EXCELLENT JOB!!

That concludes our lesson for today :) Be loyal to your brands, your don't get screwed when you do :)
